These Hella lamps were used on many of the Factory competition cars:
They were fitted as rear license plate lamps on BMW 2002 models & can still be found at Classic BMW parts stockists.

I'm not sure. The eBay light might have been used on the roof?

i would believe they are the correct unit, the only photo of the yellow 72 lemans kremer car i have that barely shows it is attached and all the models / pics you see don't show the true location with race number on the passenger side rear quarter. now were can i get a shot of that side ?

John,i agree they are the license plate lights on a bmw 2002.part #63.26.8.777.102 there are plenty in stock at bmw warehouses.list price of $36.59 each complete,just order through you local dealer.
