Opinion poll: Best color for a longhood targa, originality aside

Hello all wise and gracious ESR's. I am looking for opinions on period color favorites.
I love many of the early/ period correct colors but was wondering if there was a consensus on a favorite. I am about to embark upon a high quality re-paint of a 70' targa.
However, I do not care for the original color and I am not hung up on keeping it original color wise. The interior will remain tan. I want to keep it in the colors of the period, and one that the masses seem to prefer. Thank you for your replies, Steve

Slate grey is always my fav; followed close behind with Irish green (only with tan interior though).

With a tan interior, aubergine, blood orange, sand beige, or one of the greens would have the look. But IMHO targa lines work especially well in Light Ivory. Just repainted ours and glad we didn't change the color.

On second thought, my '73S is metallic gold w/tan and doesn't look bad.

Wow!!, All very elegant and fun colors. A very diverse sampling indeed. You see my dilemma, too many friggin choices. I like almost all of them.
If given the choice, is there a consensus on a most popular? Lets say you could change the color of your car at the wave of a wand. What would it be?
