    Fuel Pumps - Group 4 Weber-Equipped Cars

Need some input here - What fuel pumps did Porsche use for their Weber 46 equipped Group 4 cars? Am building a 1972 911 to the 1971 Group 4 specs for vintage racing and can't seem to find out any info on what fuel pumps would have been used. Any pictures on installation would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

Those cars should have had a pair of Bosch 0 580 960 009 (911.608.107.00) pumps. Those are long NLA so this may be an issue where absolute orginality is required.

    John,

Be aware that some of these items are no longer actually made in Germany and are in fact, very expensive replicas offered by Bosch & the Factory.

Outsourcing has gripped Bosch and their QC has truly suffered for it.

    Steve,

I though that these pumps had a By-Pass Regulator set at between 1 and 2 bar and were used with the MFI regulator set in the engine bay at just under 1 bar.

How did the 46IDAs cope with this much pressure? They must have substituted the engine bay regulator for something quite different.

    Hi Chris,

These are the Bosch pumps used on the carbureted cars (914/6 & 911T) and they make 4.0 psi. I usually install an FPR to knock that down to 3.5 psi for the Webers.
