    Recommended Door Skins

    Hello - does anyone have an opinion or insight in terms of getting door skins from Stoddard versus Restoration Designs? Are they from the same vendor? Does one fit better than the other?

    Any input would be much appreciated,

    I have aluminum door skins with old style porsche number tags on them. I have not mounted them on a door frame yet.

    Hi Alex,

    I am not sure what ones stoddard sells but I 100% recommend buying factory porsche door skins. Try you local OPC (Porsche dealer)

    Unfortunately they run about $1400 each. The Danish ones and the Restoration design skins are both around $300. I think I need to go that way - just wondering which is the better choice??

    I have bought 6 door skins from Porsche recently and from memory they are around £193 each at todays rate thats $312.

    Alex, I've used Dansk door skins ONCE!, they were crap!
    The demension on the top of the door where the belt moulding mounts
    is off by several mm. you won't be able to install the moulding.
    I put a pair on an RS I was building, took them off and tossed them!
    I would recommend original skins only ,or new doors
