    Twin plug adaptor

I picked this up a while back at a swap meet for $100 bucks. I ended up using a different twin plug setup. Whoever made it did a fantastic machining job and an even better anodizing job. However, I could not tell you for which distributor, cap and rotor it was designed for. If I could get a hundred bucks for it and it went to a good home (non ebay reseller), I would be happyIMG00075-20110317-0932.jpgIMG00075-20110317-0932.jpg.

    Hello Geneulm,

IŽll take it if it fits my Marelli distributor cap and an early type of distributor. I just bought my "doppelzuendung" cap and rotor so I would like some measurements before I can decide. Do you have the inner and outer diameter and the heart to heart distance between the outer 3 holes please.
    Thank You,

    Chris

    Chris,

Please private mail me and I will get these measurements for you in the AM (the part is sitting on my office desk).

I do have some measurements... hopefully some expert on this forum will ID what distributor it goes for.

Inside diameter: 80mm. There are several ridges, but this is where the set screws are.
    Outside diameter: 110mm
Outside diameter where the cap fits on: 98mm
Total thickness of the piece is 13mm

    Helpful?

I have the same twin-plug adapter as the one you posted except for the cap fit O.D. size. This adapter will fit the 3.0 SC & 3.2 distributors with that 80 mm O.D. The one I have has the O.D. for cap mounting at 96 mm and fits the twin-plug Bosch cap. Yours is 98 mm for the cap so that might be for the Marelli cap. All other size's you posted are the same on mine.

The inside diameter of my Marelli cap is 96 mm so I am afaid it will not fit your adapter. Thanks for the measurements.
    Succes with the sale.

geneulm, Check that cap O.D. size on your adapter again. If the Marelli is 96 mm and the Bosch is 96 mm what would the 98 mm O.D. fit?

Measured again. The OD of the piece that the distributor clamps to is 98mm. It wouldn't take much to chuck it up and spin 1mm off it. I will even knock the price down to $75 to pay for it. (I'd do it myself, but my chuck isn't large enough to fit.)
