    1967 Porsche Tech Specification booklet

Hello, A friend, recommended this site to me, I don't have a Porsche, but did run across this booklet, while going through some of my old stuff.
I would appreciate any opinions of what a fair price would be for this booklet, I believe the booklet is in good condition, NOT perfect but good.

    inside the cover it says;
first English Edition Information cut-off 31, Dezember 1967

I hope this post is in the correct area, again I dont have a Porsche, but I thought I could find out some good information on this booklet here.

I have one and find it very helpful. I try never to leave for the track without it. I was given mine by a professional Porsche mechanic so I have no comment on $$$. I guess I foolishly believe these things should simply stay in the community.

Thanks for the reply Johnt, I agree, I was hoping a "Porsche Guy" would be interested in it, I have no need for it. I would like to see some one get it that would be able to use it and enjoy it.

You should be able to find lots of these that have sold here and on eBay, to give you an idea of price. My wild guess is $35, but it's really just a guess. Take a look at Pelican Parts, too.

I did check Ebay and found a couple that were newer, but none that were of this year, and they were in the $70 to $80 range

True, but if you look in the completed listings you will see that those that actually found buyers went for $15. There were several of your edition that got no bids at $42.50. I remember a while ago that someone had several at $35 and they were supposed to be new old stock.

I will offer $35 for it.

Those $35 ones were not the first printing, I bought one and they are the 78 printing. Folks here have asked much more for the first printing of this book, do a search here although not to many have come up for sale.

    thanks for the replys,

My booklet is NOT new old stock, it is USED and in "good" condition NOT exellent.

In my search on this site I did come across a thread on the "stock number" printed on the back of the booklet, this booklet has the numbers 4203.20 1M III/72 Printed in W Germany
Inside the cover it states 1st English Edition
I'm not an expert on Porsche, Porsche booklets, or in the business of selling Porsche books. I am only hoping for a "fair" price and that this booklet goes to some one who can use it and enjoy it.

The 1M means 1000 were printed
III/72 means printed in March 1972

My offer stands. I have several of these books, but not this one, and I could make good use of the 2.0 engine info in it.

Lomaroca, I only can chime in to inform the offer from member daveb is really "fair" and correct.
Not only he gave you a sincere and realistic info about your item but selling it to him would mean selling it to one of the most knowledeable. It would be in good hands, just what you wish.

On ebay a while ago, I bought mine for $38 (3/71 printing, first edition), some think their value is much higher, its really not.
One who needs it really might pay more but this board is not above mentioned site.
