there have been two guys with elephant hide stuff in the last couple of years. the most recent is a member named "bert" and he has advertised elephant hide dash stuff. i think the link is http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...highlight=1968

the other guy is from connecticut, just outside of new haven, and i haven't seen his name lately, but he went by "fastal" on ebay. he had some really nice elephant hide seats and i think some other interior stuff.

    i hope this helps.

Not to hijack this thread, but this is the 3rd or 4th time (first pic) I have seen 67 style window crank handles on a 68. Did the early 68s come with the 67 style window crank handles?

Not common but I have seen several '68 cars with the bare handles. The other thing that has thrown me off on two occasions is a '68 mirror in a '67.

I need some basket weave door panels for my 68 912 or some door pockets at a minimum if anyone has some. Need basket weave like in the pic above. Thanks

I apologize for not knowing Don. A buzz started on the 912bbs.org about a year ago then faded. However I was not surprised to see them at the LA Lit show. They looked to be nice. The only things you really have to get right on this is the shape of the stiff cardboard pocket and heat sealing the edges. The res is a normal door that any auto upholsterer can do.
Maybe Jeff Trask or John Benton or Brian know.

Thanks Guys. From the chassis number, this car is a very early 68 car (number 9), which could explain why it still has some 67 parts.
