Pic of 73S throttle lever parts

Can someone post some pics of the parts, supposedly a plastic part, that would be inside the tunnel and connected to the throttle lever for a 73S? My mechanic says there is some plastic piece that my car is missing. Just trying to figure out what parts I need. Thanks

    Mark,

Here is an image that may help.

You will need to take the hand throttle lever off the shaft.
You will find several (4+) cork ‘friction gaskets’ that are probably failing from age.
    Have those available.

The white plastic piece (violet arrow) is slotted and simply slips on & off the throttle rod.

Once you have the hand throttle lever assembly off the shaft, you can remove the circlip.
Don’t try thin in the car unless you have a bag of spare clips.

Adjusting the ‘barrel stop’ on the throttle rod is an easy trial-&-error process.
Do not loosen the set screw much (only enough to force the barrel to move on the rod.
There should be some free-play at the hand throttle when ‘off’ and the rest of the accelerator linkage is on the stops at the MFI.

This might be a good opportunity to go through the throttle linkage from the accelerator pedal to the MFI cross shaft (do not adjust linkage at any of the MFI).
Search Pelican as I have this in detail. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/searc...archid=6530758

Have your magnet-on-a-stick and grabber tools handy for this.
It is much easier with the driver’s seat removed.

    Best,
    Grady
