    I have never heard of the 911S having a aluminum S bumper. No reason to reduce weight up there anyway. Perhaps you are thinking of an aluminum rear center panel? That was standard on the S.

    I'm not sure if it was me you were thinking of, but I do know of a master craftsman of automotive aluminum (and steel) in Los Angeles. He repaired a broken weld on my aluminum rear deck lid while I waited.

    If anyone is interested in having Steve Hogue make the following 911 parts in aluminum, he said he can do it (no affiliation, just a satisfied customer):

    Front and rear lids
    Fenders
    Door skins
    He could probably do bumpers too if you wanted
