    Thumbs up

Looks like one of our Australian TYP901 Register friends (decal in the window) loaned young Vettel a ride... Nothing on their message board as yet........

    Cheers

Way cool- I always liked Vettel.

Do any of you guys agree with my thought that Vettel looks like George Thorogood?

It belonged to a club member Porsche Cars Australia bought it to display at the 60th anniversary of Porsche in Aust last month, now its doing the PR rounds is going to be driven in Targa tasmania next month also. Personally I thought it was a strange car for them to buy but I guess they wanted a RHD Aussie delivery car of the era and this one was avaialble.

Its a very nice car which the Porsche detailers have made even nicer.

    Hi all,

I owned this car from 1999, up until 2 months ago when I sold it to Porsche Cars Australia. Lisa, her husband and late father John kept the car in great working order since then.

...I forgot to mention, apparently he was given the choice of driving any of the cars they had on display (old and new). He chose a 901.
Also, as part of my negotiations with Porsche, they obviously thoroughly tested the car, however I had to do all required work on the car (elsewhere) to get it to the standard that they required. Porsche didn't want to do any work themselves. In the end, a small leak on the oil gauge and re-gluing a small section of the driver's side door pocket (otherwise good condition) were the only requirements. I also detailed the car myself (took me 2 days!) and I understand no other work was done prior to it being shown. Paint, trim, etc is how I presented it to them - as I've seen the car on the tour.

Here's a link to the F1 website, featuring pics of Vettel and the 901. http://www.formula1.com/gallery/race...al/sunday.html
