Cant shake off exhaust smell in car.

    Hi,
My 66 keep getting exhaust smell in the car, it happen only when i travel above 60+ MPH then brake or slow down. The strong exhaust smell would then enter the car. At normal drive around town or steady speed it's all fine.

-I have all my heater remove.
-seal the heater opener by the foot well on both side.
    -I have no heat exchanger.
-I have center GT3 style M&K muffler. (could this be the problem with some sort of aerodynamic back flow?)
    -All rubber seal are new.
-I have custom air condition. Two condenser. One is at the front left fender, second one is rear left fender. ( i try testing the smell from aircon vent seem like the smell is not coming from there.)

The smell seem like it's entering from the rear passenger.

not sure where else to look, any idea would be greatly appreciated.
    best regards
    tenn

    I assume you saw this?

maybe have a good look around the engine tins to see if there's any chance of air being drawn from underneath the car.

Two possibilities to check Tennster. Do you have the rear window defroster outlets installed, and if so have you sealed them off from the engine compartment, and secondly did you seal off the holes that were for the heater control valves under the rear body section.

Shift coupler tunnel? Are all the rubber (3?) bits good? If not, can fumes be entering through the shift coupler tunnel?
