Found early '65 911 VIN # 300279 ... the car in line behind my 300278!

Just saw this pop up on ebay...I recently bought the car ahead of it (300278). It's not very complete though...

It's bad enough that the car appears to have been unearthed from an open field somewhere but I look at these pictures and I wonder why the seller deemed it necessary to take these pictures in a post apocalyptic garage. Nothing about this situation instills confidence.

I talked to him... he's going to have to tear a hole in the garage to take the car out. Told me he used to race a VW type 3 fastback with a 911S engine in it. He described how he bolted up the engine in the car, and I believe him as I've got a friend with a type 3 and a 911 engine in the car.... The guy did sound a bit like 'mater (the towtruck character from the movie "Cars").

The wheels are Cosmic Wheels. Typically I've seen them with black paint in the background.

Are cosmic wheels worth a fortune? Just wondering why it's already up to $13,000...

Yep, been down in that barn in Jersey for about the last 6 or so years, I remember looking at it.

Wow...$13K for a rusty hulk with no engine/trans...911E4ME needs to buy it and restore so he can have two sequential early cars sitting side-by-side in his garage!
