Does anyone have a good "Bill of Sale" document?

It might be nice to have some forms available here on the registry that can assist us in the buying and selling of our cars.

Does anyone have any good documents that they could post?

The DMV web site has a Bill of Sale document that you can download.

If I recall correctly, over at the Pelican 911 Forum, Grady Clay posted some suggestions a few years back. You might want to look there.

    A basic example

Not fancy, but just used the attached for my purchase earlier this week. Had it notarized at title signing over.

Simple document for a straightforward purchase in my case (absolutely no chance of VIN fiddling, non originality, etc)

Since in Canada we don't have "title" the way the U.S. does, we sell cars via a bill of sale, and if the car has registration, signing over the back of the registration. Here is a link to the Province of Alberta's Bills of Sale FWIW

Its the same in CT now. Anything made before 1980 no longer gets a title in CT. To sell it it's just the bill of sale and signing the back of the registration.
