    Mystery Noise

Can someone help me identify a mystery noise? I recently took my 1972 911S out of winter hibernation. While driving the car I noticed an odd clicking noise coming from the rear passenger side, perhaps back by the oil tank, or even in the engine compartment. I have never heard the noise before.

I have driven the car twice and it has happened both times. The noise sounds like an electrical switching noise, not loud, and somewhat like the sound of the word "tink". The sound varies in intervals, occurring about every 5 to 25 seconds. It does not get louder or more frequent with time. My oil temperature and pressure are normal.

Can someone identify the noise, and what to do about it?

Since it doesn't move for months, check wheel bearings. Have heard that same sound and couldn't figure it out until the clicking became constant. Hope that helps...
