How do you identify a factory S steel Bumper

I have what appears to be a factory S bumper in Steel. The back of the center of the bumper shows a weld, see pic. The bumper guards are mismatched, one has a vent on the inside top as a very early Porsche, say '67.

    Thanks

I'm positive that every "S" bumper I've seen has the weld seam in the middle. I'm sure that was for manufacturing ease. Two pressing were easier than one large one.

If you look close you can see the weld in the middle of this original. Didn't know there was a reproduction? Course I never looked either...

Thank You! I was told there were no steel reproductions, I wanted to verify before responding to an offer on my bumper.

If they stamped that as a single piece, the material would become too thin in the center. Just the way dies and stamping work.
