    Early 911 rear brakes

The PET lists an 'intermediate plate for caliper carrier and caliper' under Part Number
901.352.817.00 but it isn't shown on the Rear Brake Drawing for an up to 1968 car.

Does anyone know if this is an adaptor that lets a caliper with a larger mounting centre to be futted onto the eraly trailing arm?

Can it be the dog bone for a 68 wide L caliper?

Didn't the early cars, 1964 to 1967 have front struts with no break caliper mounts, rather they used a separate plate that bolted to the strut with 4 bolts and the caliper mounted to it. The rear trailing arms allaways had the mounting ears cast into the arms?

    Hi,

That is the spacer "dog bone" for the vented calipers. If you type it into google, they are availble new $6 each.
