    FS: '70 914-6 (Owned for 36 yrs!):

    Time to slim down....

    I acquired this "6" in 1976 on Ed Mayo's recommendation of a very good customer's car at his shop. The particulars:

    Adriatic Blue/Tan Interior
    Original engine replaced with 2.5L built by Wayne Baker in 1983 (approx. 8,000 miles on eng. presently)
    Short gearing
    Rear wheel wells slightly flared to accomodate 225 x 15 on rear
    Never any rust or collision damage
    All records for last 36 yrs and many prior to that, including details of engine build.
    Totally original interior (one small crack in original dash), even the footrest.
    New shocks, tires.
    In excellent condition; a very strong runner.
    $35,950.

    Don't have original motor or wheels. Wayne felt the 2.0 wasn't a viable candidate for the 2.5 rebuild, so he did it using a 2.2. Back in '83 it wasn't important to me to keep the original motor so it stayed with Wayne. I had fuchs on the car at that time but really don't remember what it had on it when I bought it. The letter from the factory regarding the original equipment doesn't mention wheels.

    Thanks everyone. If I have time this weekend to take some more shots I will post them. Incidentally, the VIN # is 9140431998 and original motor # 6405277; Delivery date - 6/70.
