    spare tire strap / belt (r,st,rsr)

    as item in picture below , is anyone making these as a reproduction ? reason i ask is that one of the family businesses is equestrian in which we have made saddles / covers etc.. using the same materials ( leather , canvas , buckles...) i sure i could have these made if no one is currently doing them .

    I have not seen anyone reproducing them ever. I would be a buyer for an RSR type

    ok i can do these with out much trouble but i need one of the following ;
    A - some one sells me one thats beyond reuse
    B- some one lends me one and i return it once measured and material matched
    C- someone takes lots of photos with a ruler beside the item so i can scale off it ( can't match the material this way though )

    Has anyone got any period pictures of this spare tyre fixing arrangement? Are the fixing brackets the same as the rear parcel shelf luggage strap brackets by any chance?

    The brackets do appear to be the same as the rear shelf brackets. In the 1973 RSR they are black. The brackets are removable so if someone makes the setup they would not have to supply brackets. I am sure I have pictures, but do not know if I can find them. I will start looking.
