    Glue on Schutz

    Hi,

my car will be ready for painting this summer and I started to do some research regarding schutz. I've found a lot of information, where it has been applied, what has been taped and so on. But:

As horsehair or modern material has to be glued to it, I would be interested in experience of applying glue on top of the schutz. Does it work?

Besides this I am not sure, if I should go for horsehair (if still available) or modern material. Are there any pros and cons on that? The car gets a total restauration and should be a driver for sunny days.

    Many thanks,
    Mark

R U going for concours ? I don't think you will ever achieve matching the factory anyway. Might I suggest putting down the modern heat block material under your new carpet.

Horsehair should stay on the horse! It is the perfect material for rust, once wet it takes forever to dry and if in an invisible place has no real justification.
