Looking for the impossible.
I want a pair of 7 x 15 fuchs (dated up to 6/72) and a pair of 9 x 15 (dated up to6/72)
I know they will be expensive, I'm ready for the pain if you can help.

Hmm I thought I saw Harvey being quoted as seeing late 71 date 9's am I mistaken in that the 7" and 9" fuchs were used/offerred on the 72 2.5ST cars?

Interesting so if I was attempting to mirror a 72.5St then 7"fuchs and 8.5" miniltes is correct
I must be reading flunders (7" and 9" listed in sports purpose for 70) and gibs threads incorrectly...so many posts thats not surprising!!!

I have a pair of 8.5x15 magnesium Torque thrusts that need a good home.
Kremer was using 9x15s during the 72 Euro championship races for the rear, and then later for the front. In the last race at Estoril (Nov 72), they were on the front. The Strahle factory car in July 72 had 9s on the front, and welded up 10s or 11s in the rear...probably based on what Kremer was doing with welded Fuchs. The famous factory pic of the 72 ST shows 9s in the rear, but don't know when it was taken.

I'm fairly certain that 9x15" Fuchs were available from the Race Dept in early '71.
I tried for several months to buy a couple of '71-dated 9's from a guy in 2006 but he was very difficult to deal with & I eventually gave up.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's still got them - 1 was NOS & the other was virtually unused - I'll see if I can track him down again.

Raj:
These are 2 shots of 72 STs parked at the factory sometime in 72. There are many pics showing 72 STs with 7 (or8s)+9 Fuchs at least as early as April 72...Toad Hall at 72 Targa Florio (23) and Kremer (34) at 300 km Nurbur. (Apr. 72). The best evidence for body mods and wheels on the competition cars are from period pics, not necessarily factory documents or homologation docs. Also, since the factory did not race STs, all of the factory built STs went to privateers...some (like Kremer, Strahle) with factory support. I think we can feel comfident that 9x15 Fuchs were available througout the 72 racing season.
