Bjorn Waldegard wins race in Denmark in 911ST

During the past weekend the former Porsche Works driver and 4 times World Rally Champion won the Classic Race Aarhus (www.craa.dk) in the group with cars up to 1971.

Waldegard, who is now 67 years old, stopped his career back in 1992 but as the onboard videos on our website (www.teamstateofart.dk/video) proves, he is still going strong...and fast.

Bjorn raced my completely new restored 911ST replica. The car is based on a 1972 911T chassis with a 1971 911S engine upgraded to a twin plugged 2381 ccm.

He also attended a 30 minutes race where I was the co-driver and even though this class was open for cars up to 1981, the car won by a large margin. The circuit was a temporary city track surrounded by solid concrete blocks. I took the first stint and when Bjorn took over, the rain started. His driving skills and experience were so superior that his laptimes were 20 seconds faster than the 911 RSR that came in second and had 100 HP more.

Great car, driver and story. Welcome to the Early 911S Registry. I also hope that you will attend Rennsport Reunion IV.

As I live in Europe, coming to the Rennsport Reunion IV in October might be a bit hard. It would have been fun though.
