Don't know about the shakin, but if you want original size I like the Vredstein 185 x x70's and for a different size I also have a car with Goodyear Eagle GT's 195 x 65. very happy with both brands.

Again no comment on the shaking.

    For my '69 E I have:
On deep 6's Bridgestone Potenza 205/60
    On early ATS 7's Yokohama S-Drive 205/55

Both sets have been driven from TX to Cali and back with extended stints above 100. Both are comfortable, stable, and have decent grip.

If a car has vibration problems I would check a couple of things. First, I would take off the tire/wheel combo and put it on a balancer to check the tire for seperation and/or flat spots. Then look at the wheel to see if it runs true. Then try to rebalance if all looks good. 5 year old tires do not necessarily mean anything about their condition. I would do these steps before buying tires just to make sure everything is OK. Then look at the suspension, etc..If the tires are worn, cracked or showing signs of seperation then I would replace before any more vibration testing. IMHO

Whatever tires you decide to get remember that you have 7R spec on the back w/ a 15mm? spacer [ hard oil lines in wheel well ]
The person mounting the tires has to be VERY careful as well ! [ not easy to mount on deep 6's / 7R ]

Very happy with Dunlop SP5000 Sports, 195/65-15, that I just put on my 71.
