Spacers with Deep 6s on LWB car

I've scanned the forum and there's plenty of discussion on spacers for 7R wheels but can someone recommend a suitable spacer size for deep 6s on 195/65 tires? I would like a slightly more aggressive stance on the rears but not necessarily go all the way flush with the body. The fronts look good as is so don't think I need anything there. The closest I got was someone mentioning 7mm spacers before having to go to adapters. Can someone confirm? Reputable brands also useful. Car is for street use. Thanks

You can usually use 7mm spacers with the stock lugs. However always check for engagement depth just to make sure (14mm min). The next step is linger studs with thicker spacers. That takes some caculation and labor. I like to use the 15mm bolt-to bolt adapters because you don't have to change the studs and it it should fill the well up good enough for you. The BTB adapters can't go any thinner than 15mm because the studs will contact the back of the webs of the wheels. Actually most cars that come in with spacers have them in the front for inner wheel well clerance.

Thanks Harvey, I think 7mm should be enough for me on the rears. I guess I could go with 15mm but not sure I want to push the wheels all the way out. Are you suggesting I should consider spacers for the front as well? What are BTBs you are referring to and do you recommend the Ralph Booth products?

Yes, Ralph Boothe and also Vertex. Boothe's sometimes need fitting as I think they are designed for later cars and sometimes interfere with the webs slightly. Vertex is frequently out of stock.

    Nick-

You may find that 7mm doesn't quite produce the results you want. I installed 15mm spacers, along with longer studs. They were made by H&R, and really fit well. Very impressive quality. To my eye (and on my car) the tires now look to be in exactly the right place. Not too close at all. Tires are Pirelli P6000 195/65/15.

Scott, could you post pictures? Did you install only on the rear? and are these with bolt to bolt adapters? Thanks.

    Nick-

Yes, rear only. The adapters were not bolt to bolt. I was installing aluminum trailing arms, so had the whole thing apart anyway, so went ahead with the longer studs. I'll snap some pictures and get them posted.

Thanks Scott. I want to avoid getting longer studs so I'm currently looking at bolt adapters. Yes, please post pics. I remember reading about your 2.5 build sometime ago, something on my wish list. Cheers

Scott, I took the liberty of taking this pic of your car off the Burgundy thread. Is this the set up with 195/65s and 15mm spacers in the back? Looks beautiful.
