How did you install your 935 style mirrors? Bolts, or tape....??

I recently purchased some 935 style mirrors for my 911. I noticed that some people bolt these mirrors on, by drilling through the window frame, and I noticed another post on here where the owner used double-sided tape. I'd prefer to not drill holes into the window frames, but I autocross and track my car, and need these mirrors to stay on. Is there a double-sided tape that is strong enough?
    thanks

3M trim molding tape will do the job.

While I've never heard of a taped mirror falling off, I wouldn't trust the tape as the sole attachment. A simple bracket made of aluminum or steel angle is a much better way to go IMO.
