    My first long hood!

Well after wishing and wanting for 2 years I've finally become the proud owner of my first long hood. First thanks to John Schaefer and Johnny Johnson for making this beauty what it is. I think they had access to my notes because it is terribly close to what I wanted to build. Then thanks to this board where Johnny saw my WTB ad. The photos he sent showed a lovingly cared for hot rod and sent me reaching for some heart meds.

So after driving 400 miles from NY to VA I saw and drove the car. It was very much love at first sight then after driving it the hook was set. Then I drove back to NY with a grin still on my face. Today the deal was concluded and I am chomping at the bit to get back down to VA to pick her up.

I've included a photo (credit: J. Johnson). More photos to come documenting the drive home.

Nice. Very subtle stripes and rocker graphics. Now you just need wheel caps.

Congrats Peter. Beautiful looking car. Now that you have one, you can start to plan for NorthEast RED Rallye 2012 :-)
Looking forward to meeting you and the car at a local event.
