911R recreation for sale on eBay

Looks nice and priced accordingly....or how about optimistically.
Wish the pics were bigger on eBay though.

Anyone know the car or who built it and where?

They're probably not serious about selling the car. It's way over priced for a clone. It's a nice car and they might have a ton of money into it but the starting bid isn't real. A car like this normally brings $0.50 on the dollar. Even if they have $200,000 invested in the car the opening bid is too high. Nice car though.

Cool fun looking car, but I agree with the class, over priced. I can't see $250K build price, but with a twin plug 2.8, it is a expensive build. If I were to spend 250K on a 911R replica, I would want a clone ie. exact duplicate of a 911R, with the correct 906 style motor, oil plumbing, wheels, interior, etc. I would want Raj to think that he had just found a long lost "R".

    Thumbs up Magnus' Builds

I have to say that Magnus' cars (not just the one he shows above) popped into my mind when I saw this auction. I think his builds have a lot more soul than this clone does. I'd take his hands down.

    Kelly Moss?

This *looks* like a car I saw being completed at Kelly Moss in Madison, Wisconsin about three years ago. I was told Kelly Moss took over the project when another shop stalled. That's all I know and it may be a different car altogether - but the similarities are striking, right down to the German language labels beside some of the switchgear (nice touch). The car I saw at Kelly Moss was absolutely stunning.
