RHS antenna mount. Hole to interior location

    Hey all

I did some work on the Frankfurt in my 66 this weekend and got it working nicely on the bench and in the car. However, the antenna mast is located on the rhs fender and I dont see any way of getting the wire throught the fenderwell and inside to attach to the radio. Any suggestions. Btw the radio sounds sweet, and I fixed the uber cool little light bulb, so now it glows in all it's glory.

Its in the shop manual, if no one else pops up with a picture I'll do it tomorrow night. Basically its the same as a left fender mount.

Dan - How hard is it to replace the uber cool little light bulb? Would love to get the Frankfurt in my 72 to glow in the dark too!

The lightbulb is hidden behind the indicator plate.

My steps to replace the bulb:

    1) Remove radio from car
    2) Remove top of radio (no screws just pry off carefully)
    3) Remove chrome bezel from the frequency range indicator
    4) Tune radio so that the dial is all the way to the left.
    5) Remove the four screws that hold the range indicator in place.
    5) Look for moving white indicator that shows you what frequency you are on. This fragile part has a pivot in the center and a slide that rests in a channel at it's end. The pivot is attached to the carriage that moves to adjust the frequency range and the sliding part moves in a channel that is perpendicular to the front of the radio. That center pivot should be popped up and the slide should move forward to be removed. There is also a small spring that is attached to the white indicator and the radio. Make sure to take this off carefully as not to stretch it out.
    6) Feed the white indicator through the front of the radio when removing the range indicator
    7) Pop the bulb out and check it with an ohmmeter.
    8) Replace the bulb with the same type of bulb that you use for your gauges. Should be a low wattage 12 volt style bayonet connector.
    9) Work backwards through the list.
