New guy and some barn car questions.

    Hi folks.
I am the owner of a 1967 911S. She was imported from Europe and used here as a track car by Porsche America club. (As the story goes.) This car was a gift from my father for my 15th birthday. I have driven it once from the house to where it sits now. I recently got a offer that I cant fathom, sight unseen.

I have always thought of it as a having value as a family thing, but never as having any kind of real value.

Just as a stand point, If you had asked to buy it yesterday. I would have had not issue selling it for a few grand.....

She did run when I parked her and I did put marvel oil down the cylinders, but how do I figure the value on something like this?

I am at a total loss.....

Thank you for your time and advice.

Welcome, you are very fortunate to receive a car like this at such
a young age. You ought to take a look at the sales history thread
and make your own conclusions as to value:

Think hard before selling this, it might be very hard to find another one if
    you change your mind.

I live in Lake Tahoe CA. and the car is stored in the Bay area so no picks. I will say she is kinda rough.
I am currently looking for my title. This is the first car I ever owned so a lot of paper must be looked in.

I will try to post the VIN and any picks I can get ASAP.

I would love to get some realistic numbers before I sell my first love.

    Thank you.

    DONT SELL IT!!!!

Drive it, even if it requires a little fixing up you will have fun restoring it as well as driving.

    Don't sell it !!!

At least take time to learn about these cars, they are a significant part of the Porsche mystique.

If you sell it you'll kick yourself for ever....keep it in storage if you can't afford to fix it now, come back to it when finances allow it.

If you sell it you will regret it later in life...

We would be glad to help you understand more about you '67S. Check this recent thread though, many members discussing past cars they wish they still had.

I go to the Bay area frequently and can meet you for an inspection. I'll try to get you interested in keeping your car, but if you still want to sell this is the best place to find a good buyer.
