    FS 1970 911T Sunroof Coupe

    Price: $24,900

This one owner, numbers matching, five speed 1970 911T sunroof coupe spent its entire life in southern California, mostly in very dry Palm Springs. It was purchased for the original owner by a German California car broker from D’iteren in Brussels, driven a short time in Europe and shipped to California where the owner took possession and had it for 41 years! Note: the maintenance record book properly records this transaction with the German buyer's page stapled in back of the many years owner's page. Originally Pastel Blue, the car was painted black in the mid-70s and at the same time a high quality manual sunroof was installed by a craftsman (note, for example, drain tubes in engine compartment and quality metal work). VIN is 9110123352 with numbers matching with engine #6109051, this 911 came equipped with the following options (original bill of sale from D’iteren and other supplied documentation is included):

    Chrome/rubber Bumperettes
    Blaupunkt Frankfurt Radio
    Leather Steering Wheel
    Tinted Glass
    Chrome Wheels

This a great driving, very solid 911 with no rust. Very nice interior (driver’s seat is a little “soft”) with perfect dash. The paint on the car, while shiny is chipped in a few places and on the sunroof itself is crazed (see pictures). The chrome is excellent.

Much time, money and effort were spent getting this “garage find” up to speed. Carburetors were rebuilt and one shaft coupling was replaced (no doubt the reason the “T” was parked for a long period of time.) The battery boxes, which were in excellent shape, were painted and new batteries installed. Countless other small details were addressed. For example, all door pockets were replaced with OEM driver quality used pockets. Drained fuel (very clean tank!), replaced fuel pump, etc

Strong running engine with excellent compression and cosmetics (see pictures). This Porsche even has its original engine compartment insulation and it's in good shape! We’d rate this a 4+ (out of 5) driver. Mileage is around 100K. We are a private party located in Silicon Valley area. Please ask any and all questions. Car is located 10 minutes from San Jose airport. We are happy to assist with transport to international shipper in Oakland. Email direct to DrRSR@aol.com. This is a very good car!
