    '73 Carrera RS

    . . . . at European Collectables . . .

    VIN = 911 360 0901
    Engin# = ?
    Trans# = ?
    Mileage = 93.3k km

    GP White w/blue graphics over black

    ' . . . This RS is complete with the original German "Fahrzeugbrief" registration that documents every owner from new until the car was sold to USAF Doctor, Herminio Cuervo, in 1980 in Germany. Dr. Cuervo later imported the car to his home state of Florida. Import papers to the USA are included in the history file along with correspondences from all subsequent owners to present. The chain of ownership is fully documented and there are no gaps in time. The most recent owner, a Dr. in Modesto, CA, purchased the car in 2003. During his ownership, the Dr. had the car serviced and mechanically restored by noted specialist, Jerry Woods. All-in, over $50,000 was spent on rebuilds of the engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes. The receipts are on hand and will be included in the sale . . .'

    Damage = $269.5k

    That listing text does not mention a word regarding original motor or trans...is this suppose to be assumed ? Maybe it has them . But IMHO , a proper listing should address this issue.

    PS - can't anyone leave a Touring trimed as a Touring .

    As long as the numbers match and the seller hasn't messed it up.

    I believe any/all relevant build details are available in Konradscheim --- eng+trans #s, color, equipment, etc.

    If someone has theirs handy, could you please post?

    Also, some details here:

    http://translate.googleusercontent.c...1MFyNKSDVHJMJQ

    Shows here to have been originally light yellow, engine number 6630887, transmission number 7830872

    You can probably turn up some more stuff by googling the VIN. Not hard. Especially at these price points.

    360 0901

    originally delivered to W. Germany (code 116 / MAHAG / München...Munich)

    Motor & trans / previously listed correctly above

    Color / 6262 / Light Yellow

    Options :

    220 / LSD
    409 / Sportseats L & R

    I just meant that if it has it's original motor / trans cases. I would expect most sellers would mention that fact in their advertisement text.

    While I accept originality should be preserved, the owner has the final say. My BLACK RS has had lightweight bumpers on for decades and touring sills so its a right mongrel - but hey each to their own.
