    Cool NOS Black Bumper Guards

So I decided that I needed to swap out the chrome rear bumper guards on the '73 for the black type. I wasn't able to find a great set of used originals, so I decided to order a set of what I believed to be repops from Porsche.
Had a great surprise when they arrived today wrapped in German newspaper from 10/72 (my car was born on 11/72). I would have never expected NOS.
I'd love to poke around in the main warehouse someday. Who know what kind of NOS treasures are still sitting on the shelves.

I had to share this with a crowd that can appreciate how cool an old 1972 newspaper wrapped part can be. My coworkers didn't quite get it

Very cool! I decided to replace mine because they had been tapped front and rear with Amco bumper bars (still have the originals). I got the same NOS items with German newspaper wrappings. But that was back in the late 1980's!!!

I'm sure they didn't... That's an awesome story. It's like you unwrapped a Porsche time capsule.
