Seeking recommendation for a great porsche mechanic in the SF Bay Area

Would appreciate any recommendations for a reputable porsche shop in the San Francisco bay area. Thanks!

I use Tom Amon - Mobile workswest (http://www.mobileworkswest.com/) on my 72 911. He's knowledgeable, very easy to interact with and comes to you!

They work on more late model stuff these days , but are adept at any early car also. If you are on the West side of the bay. You could not find more capable & honest people than Bogdon and Adam (originally from PL) at Carrera Motors in San Mateo. They've been there for about 25 years. And took it over from an Old timer German named Henry , who had been there 25 plus before that.

There are good shops all over the Bay area. I agree ...In the City..The Stable..Mobile..Amon..in Marin.. Hi Tech...in the East bay many others.
Haven't been by Carrera mtrs in a while but peekaboo is a good source.
Just get a recommend. I would even check with BAR...
I just went through a painful Bay area expert testimony with no recourse (big $) for the customer.

+1 for Alan at The Stable. This guy really knows his stuff! Anyone who can build 4 cam engines as often and as expertly as he does gets my vote.

Tom Amon of Mobile Works West came by today to diagnose my 73 911s. Took him all of 5 minutes to figure out that my MFI rack was stuck. The unit is headed to Pacific Fuel Injection for repair.

He's prompt, professional, meticulous and a really nice guy to boot. Highly recommended.
