    '77 Turbo Carrera . . .

    . . . . on The Samba . . .

    VIN = 9307800276

    . . . 1977 Porsche Turbo Carrera Original 47,000 mile car. Options include Limited slip differential, Chrome plated part[s] instead of matte black finish, sunroof,and Turbo graphic stickers . . . the fastest car I have ever driven. The mileage is original but the engine has had one rebuild . . . runs . . . and drives great . . . does not burn oil. . . . new tires on the car last year. The paint is original and there are a few spots that could use some attention. The fender and door on the drivers side look like there is no clear coat left and lots of light scratches on those parts . . . also a few small dents . . one on the roof side and two on the passenger side rear quarter. The interior is in good shape with no tears . . . dash cover shows signs of slight shrinkage. The stereo is not original and the AC does not work . . . Muffler is a stainless aftermarket . . . a nice driver but not a show car . . . Here is a list of what does not work or need[s] attention: Washer pump, rear wiper, AC. New parts include rebuilt turbo from Durabuilt, turbo boost guage, and tires . . . .

    Damage = $19.5k

    I love these early Turbos and find myself longing for a '76. But the 77s had power brakes...

    The front end height looks odd to me......However the decals seems to be correct.

    I have received several calls on this car......... people assuming that it might be mine.
    It is not my car but I have known the car and ownership history since 1986.
    Should anyone have any questions, I know the car well !

    This car is fairly priced for its condition.

    Happy to try and help.

    As cool as the unobtainium decals are, they have to come off to paint it. This one is priced fair to high if you add up the end game.

    Why do you have to paint it? I say fix the needs and drive it until the doors fall off. Then fix it.

    I called no response. I think it was priced cheap and If you think you can find another in similar condition for similar money I WILL BUY IT!

    I prefer to save $10,000 and buy a restored or preserved car, but I understand the 'pay as you go' thing too, especially if you only have $20,000 to start with. You just end up with project though, that will cost a lot more in the long run, and way less seat time as it goes through the restoration process. Been there, done that.

    Now, if it all checks out (I highly doubt, old Turbo's never do) and you are cool with the ratrod look it has now, then I agree, well bought!
