Thread: FS - NOS 5 1/2 x 15 Fuchs set of 5

    FS - NOS Deep 5 1/2 x 15 Fuchs set of 5

I have a number of these wheels from an old purchase I made with plans to use on a future project. My projects have gone different direction so I have decided to sell them to fund my other projects. So, I have two NOS sets of five of these Deep 5.5 x 15 Fuchs with four wheels in each set in original Porsche boxes, each wheel dated 11/69 in one set, and the second set has four dated 11/69 and one dated 5/69. I will start by selling these as sets of five wheels for $1300 each wheel shipped. PN 901.361.012.04. These wheels look just like the deep 6's, but are slightly narrower at 5 1/2" wide. Reasonable close offers will be entertained. PM/email me for additional pictures if needed. This is one of those rare finds for that 1968 911S that you need an original set of wheels from the factory for!

They look awesome and 2 sets to boot but one year only 68S wheels, not in high demand.

Even if they are brand new, which is staggering in itself, I think pricing is all wrong and thats why they haven't sold.

I have no interest in these but I don't think the price is all that wrong.

    $4500 / 5 = $900 a rim

Cores incl caps are $400-$450 a rim?
Harvey would be approx $350? (rim + cap) a rim
Shipping to Harvey $60 min. (two ways / 1 rim)

That is at least $800 a rim and those are reconditioned wheels and you have to find good cores first.

Cores for 5.5 wheels are way cheaper than that several sets advertised here on this board for $1200 or less for sets of 5 or 4. Not meaning to start a major discussion
though or stand on any ones toes just speculating why they haven't been snapped up as they look sensational. I have the exact same wheels on a 69S I bought from USA 6 years ago
always thought they were deep 6 till I looked at the back one day

here are 5 @ $330 a wheel last year and I am sure I have seen other ads for lower pricing for sets of 4 at less than $300 a wheel

maybe its demand is the issue and not the price but I am done on this at least I might have helped by giving the post a bump
and If I needed 5.5 fuchs I would have paid all the money as they are only new once.
