WTB: 10/72 Date Stamped 6x15 Fuch

I'm looking for a 10/72 date stamped 6x15 Fuch wheel to replace one of my original wheels that I recently discovered has developed a crack.

It needs to be in good overall condition, but I will be refurbishing it to match the others.

    I'm based in the UK.

    Thanks, Simon.

    Hello,

Would you mind divulging when the car was built this would go on , if you know. I am curious to know the general spread of fuchs stamping dates to car build date during first half of 1973MY.

Sure - the car was delivered new on the 1st December 1972, so a build date of October/November 1972 fits nicely.

If you are looking to replace a wheel with the 10/72 date then I can see the need for this particular stamp. You don't necessarily need to restrict yourself to the October stamp though. My car has a 11/09/72 build date but all 5 of the original wheels have 5/72 stamps. Keep in mind that the Faktory just pulled whatever they had sitting on the the shelf when the car was being finished.

    Good luck in your search!

Yes, I'm looking for a 10/72 wheel as that's the date stamp on the cracked wheel. I need to double check the other three wheels on the car, but if I remember correctly they're all 10/72.

The cracked wheel is going to be repaired and then re-finished to become my spare (so it stays with the car) and the current spare, which is date stamped 6/77 and therefore not original, will be going.

I've found an 11/72 wheel, which is close, but I'd still like to find a 10/72 - someone must have one?!

    Thanks...Simon.

Is that a deep dish or flat?

Harvey has opinion on the dates on the wheels not an absolute to the cars build. Kent is right.
