I know this is an old thread, and I think my post count is too low to PM. However, I am hoping typ901 might be willing to take a look at the electro-mechanical Kienzle clock in my ‘72 911. Thank you!

After fiddling with the clock, I was able to identify the problem - as is often the case, it was me.

I was not disengaging the time adjustment button by pulling it out after resetting the time. I guess not doing so was causing additional drag on the clock works. It would work for a while and then stop. Tap the face a bit, it would start working again.

After correcting the aforementioned operator error and a slight + rotation of the fast/slow adjustment, the clock has been keeping very accurate time for the last couple of days.

I have a kienzle / vdo that needs some work - it seems to work intermittently - but had sat in a barn car forever....so prob needs reconditioning.

Any chance Typ901 you can help? I just joined so cannot message you.
