American racing wheels and Bucket seats available in 1965 ?

    Hi,
Planning my 1965 projects, I would like to get confirmation of what was available in 1965 for sport purpose. I read that "ferrari" or recaro were available : was this 911R type seats ? Any photos ?

Does American racing wheels were available for Porsche in 1965 ?

    Thanks,
    JD

I know the "Ferrari" seat was available, very rare! Not sure about the Recaro seats.

    Hi Raj,

I believe the first seat you show is the Recaro seat. The second one could be the Ferrari seat depending on the dimensions. Very similar to a 356 GT or Speedster seat. The feet on the GT seat for the hinges is 16" hole to hole center for the hinges. The Ferrari seat is 17 1/2" from the center hole from hinge to hinge. They look almost identical because the covering is the same from GT seat to Ferrari seat. I think the Ferrari seat was a hold over from the 356 GT seats for the early 911 cars except for the feet and a different name.
