    65 or 66

    Hi ,

    Is a 301 vin 911 a 1965 or 1966 model yr
    would it have the 901/01 engine with solex or the 901/05 with webers 40ida

    thanks

    It should have a 901/01 + solex

    Simply put, the best estimate is the transition occurred near 301900 and complete by about 302100; some of the telltales are the 66xx paint codes, wrap-around knee pad, and large ignition bezel.

    thanks guys, this is a online purchase as a rusty roller me and the owner has differnt values in mind
    what do we think is a fair value for it

    This is starting to look like all of the rust bucket 356's that had been coming out of the wood works (or woods, literally) to be restored. Hope it's another car to be saved...
