    68T sportomatic at Roads Scholars

I know that this car has been mentioned in the past here, if only due to the fantastic color that it's painted in.

    http://www.theaircooledguys.com/1968...a-sportomatic/

A member here owned the car for many years, and it's very well sorted out, and a delight to look at with all the accessories on it. The car was restored by Gary Emory's brother Don down in SoCal a few years ago. Very well done, and it's finished very nicely.

Just an fyi, the car was originally bahama yellow, not specially ordered in seagreen, but it's a great color on the car.

I've seen this car in person several years ago but only in passing. I was in Seattle on business and the double take I took as it drove past made my neck literally pop.

I'd have a very hard time putting it back to Bahama Yellow as Sea green suits it so well, especially in the PNW. I'll be watching this sale.

Beauty. Noticed it has the 69 and later AC, looks like it's all hooked up. I wonder where they put the condensers, I didn't see one under the engine grill.

That is niiiice. Love the color and great details, but surprised to see the door jamb tag missing considering all the effort that went into it.
Also curious if Sportos were built in groups or just as ordered when they came down the line... this one is 21 digits ahead of my wife's T.

Not a bad deal at $90. -$10K for the car + $100K for the resto.

Indeed, a really nice car. However, how about this from the ad: "desirable options, including a special order heated glass rear window, not publicly available until late 1968." Really, is that a plus? Thanks

PS Actually, the SW on the Targa was bit of a pain, hence the change. And while I am at it, does anyone else think the SWT with the top off and window down looks kind of goofy from some angles?

Agreed, but rather live with glass in the back. It's hard enough to keep 'em from leaking everywhere else.

Yeah, even with a color change! Wait... seriously, $90K?
