I'd say it has a lot of similarities wth this Scheel seat:
    http://cgi.ebay.de/SCHEEL-Rennsitz-B...item588e5a725b
Would make a great pair if upholstered correctly. (Gerrit Blankman of NML depot en germany could do that job)

I'd say that just solves your 'problem' with the replica's.
Use the high bolster as a driver and the low bolster as a passenger.
Have the hole of the fiverglass low bolster filled up and restore the upholstry.
You would have a really great set and Gerit does not charge you crazy money for that job.
(The other seat isalready in germany so you can snap it right off e-bay)
Getting the correct sliders is not a big dealin Germany, Gerrit can even make you correct ST sliders.
(Your bucket currently has Recaro sliders)

I know, but they mostly charge on weight with chipping through local post offices within a certain volume limit.
Gerrit did my Lollipops and he told me that he does most of his business (80%) overseas, so he knows how to ship seats.
A real scheel will hold more value that a replica seat, so you should see it as an investment

Anyway, I'm sure someone else will soup up your seat by the end of the day and snatches the other Scheel of evilbay

It might have similarities and I am by far means an expert on bucket seats (or anything ;-) ) but it looks to me that Scheel has more flare to their bucket seats, at least the seat on ebay as compared to John's seat.

    Just my $.02 from observation.
