RHD '65 911's- a new addition to the dozen or so known

    Welcome Alex,

Firstly post up some pics - you'll get a good buy in-to your thread if done.

Congrats on the '65. That would be an extra car to add to the roughly dozen or so RHD's (without grabbing my file) built in calendar year '65. Yours is likely delivered via the ANZ concessionaire of the time Hamilton’s.

I have only 10-11 RHD UK & Australasian 911's on my list built in 1965, of those only 4-5 built before the MY66 changeover. With that delivery date your car is likely around a Sept '65 build, and a MY66 car.

What was the exterior colour, and any options?

This car would be a new addition to my list- can you please send me the info VIN/Engine etc to me at

Pepita is a houndstooth insert on leatherette, it would look like this- the red interior with red seats, pepita inserts and red door skins with the standard grey carpeting (not the red of the blue targa). This image I grabbed from a red interior thread a few down the page (thanks).

Imagine the interior of this UK RHD '65- reg LGK 6D (see pic) with the houndstooth inserts and you are there. Your car would have had the grey carpeting as in the pic but houndstooth inserts in the seats.

    More houndstooth pics here:

    Welcome again,

    Cheers
