An amazing achievement indeed! Janos Wimpffen, the historian for Bruce McCaw's automotive collection, has meticulously gathered tens of thousands of facts for this complete history of championship sports car racing in Europe and the US since 1953.

Wimpffen organized his incredible body of knowledge into a 2 volume epic (each book the size of a big city phone book) containing more than 2,300 pages of stories, race results, statistics, driver listings and profiles, course maps, photos, chassis numbers and anything else of note he uncovered over his many years of research. Magic names like LeMans, the Targa Florio, the Nurburgring, Bridgehampton, Ferrari, Ford GT, Cobra, Porsche, Matra, Chaparral, Alfa Romeo and Mercedes come alive in this masterpiece.

"Time and Two Seats" is the most comprehensive racing history we've ever seen. Just open either book anywhere and start reading. It will bring hundreds of hours of enjoyment to serious followers of the sport.

Could I just rent them for the weekend? I have heard that they are fabulous...but have never seen them in person.

Yow. Why not sell copies of just the reference pages people want: Ten bucks a shot, 130 requests and it's in the black.

    Hey John, opportunity knocks!
