    Battery / charging system question

    Hi guys,

    I'm looking at a lightweight lithium-based battery for my 1969 911E race car.

    The battery I am considering appears to have sufficient CCA. However, the seller has mentioned that, despite it having an inbuilt protection circuit module, it should not be overcharged by more than 24AH input.

    Does anyone know the battery charging input of an early 911?

    IIRC the standard alternator is 14V/35A, later 14V/55A?

    Baker or Braille make LW batteries, reasonably priced. I've used both, depends on what you want to spend.

    The Braille CF's are around $250, they also make Lithium cells if you wanna spend 10X more!
