Need help with a Momo Hub

    Hi Guys (and Gals),

I've been cleaning out my parts stash and selling off some items from my recently acquired '67. This Momo hub came off of another '67 that passed through my hands, so I kept it. At least I believe it's a Momo hub.

I'm up in the air right now about which direction to go for the steering wheel on my car (RS 380mm thick grip? Vintage flat Momo?) and I have both this hub and a mint horn butterfly making it basically a coin toss right now. I'd like to know what this hub might be worth so that I can decide whether to throw it back on the shelf for some future use or sell it to fund a nice factory look wheel.

    Thanks for any input.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Not sure, but 5 bolts points to early Momo, as per the first "Le Mans" wheels. Others may know for sure regarding the hub shape.

I believe Mark Morrissey has shown photos of some early momo wheels with 5 holes vs. 6 before on this forum. They were always noted as oddball, and not the norm which is 6 . Does that have 230 stamped into it ?

The 911R wheel was a 5 bolt Monza. Monza was one of the two companies which merged/acquired to form MOMO. The other was Moretti's wheel company. Moretti ran MOMO for many years after.

This hub would be period correct for a '67. A five bolt R wheel would work on your '67.

Thanks everyone. I will post pictures of the wheel (what remains of it) that was attached to this hub. Perhaps it will help clarify things.

It doesn't look like a Momo hub to me either. The Momo hub uses 6 bolts with the holes at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 if it were a clock. The 5 hole hubs were used on Dino, 911R, BWA and Grant GT hubs. I have not seen a hub like the one you have, but the BWA wheel in the photo would fit it nicely! I have 2 of these BTW, one is 330mm the other is 365-370mm.

I forgot about the early Momo's using a five bolt pattern; I stand corrected.
