    Question Sway bar question

So my 69E had its hydropneumatic suspension labotomy quite a few years back and an H&H 3/4 inch (19mm) through body front sway bar was added at that time.

I am looking to replace the mount bushing and all I've found is S model 18mm bushings. I tried installing them but they don't fit. It has been suggested I deep freeze the bushings and have them bored out to 19mm. I have no clue how/where to do this. the other option is to get an 18mm front bar. Though I am sure there will be other issues with drop link attachement etc.

    Suggestions?

    Hi Joe,

We use a aftermarket bush from "super pro" and have machined them to suit. Finding an 18 mm bar is not easy, they were used on early turbos. We made them in the end. If you get really stuck I could machine some up for you but I am in the UK.

    Alan,

What type of shop would I search for that would do this machining?

    Hi Joe,

I am not sure which type of shop, you just need someone that has the tools and is willing to help.
