value help please, very original 1967 912.

could use some input please. considering a '67 912 coupe. car is originally from cali, now in connecticut.

    - appears very rust-free. one 2 inch spot on lower pass door. I expect a little chassis rust but nothing serious. it's been carefully looked at but not closely inspected.
    - receipts from new, inc orig bill of sale.
    - original paint in black.
    - deep 6x15 fuchs. steel spare.
    - no tool kit.
    - original but 'rebuilt' engine??? runs OK.
    - four speed.

I don't have much more info.

any thoughts on value? any input much appreciated. thanks, Don.

Needs quite a bit of help. Front bumper guards missing (?) Shortened shifter (?) Wrong air cleaners, Missing engine pad, bad dash, bent passenger seat back (could be angle of pic), Wrong steering wheel, and what looks like incorrect plush carpet. How well is the engine rebuild documented?

    I'd say about 6-7k.

A running POS just went for $5800 off Denver CL. I'd put this more in the range of $8K. Depends on the condition of suspension, trunk, pans.... Looks fairly complete but pretty tired. Good luck.

Yep, not exactly unmolested but nice set of Fuchs.

One thing that it does have is the plastic rain deflector under the engine grill. Usually lost after an engine fire...

    It needs love.

Later seats for sure. 68 "Deeps" are a plus. Looks like it needs help. Easy $8-10K. Sits funny...too high and uneven.

If it is in fact a factory black COA documented car that should bump the value IMHO.

It's got some pros and cons for sure that gave been pointed
out. I agree- original black would be a cool find. If the motor's health
checks out and it doesn't have rust issues I'd put it at $12-15k.
Any combo of those issues and it drops fast.

bought it. quite decent upon close inspection. only rust is a few spots in the floor pans, and the door mentioned. mostly I think from the last five years of storage. things unbolt easily, no corrosion. according to the door tag, factory black, paint not original.
