Note the colors of the small representation of the castle on the DKW badge. Germans do badges like spring break vendors do T shirts.
But with MUCH more style. The second one shaped like a wedge is unusual, but it's not a car badge. This is an awards pin, small rectangular plakettes are hung one to another connected by a single link under each screamin' eagle for each successive event.

this is not a badge (and not mine unfortunately) but it has the famous logo on it and it is supposed to be pre-war.
i suspect that because it is made of cotton it even rarer than the badges

yes, the fact that the "ring" part is at the top creating one word, albeit with a hyphen, where all of the badges, and these programs you have posted have it at the bottom, has thrown me.
I have no reason to believe it is not genuine but the design, at least in the way the word (s) is positioned is different. I have no idea what that might mean.

This pennant's been bugging me, too, Hugh . . .
Going back to those two newspaper images, it looks like some time between 1931 and 33 , Nürburg Ring became one word --- at least in print.
But on the badge? . . . . always two. And that orientation? Specifically designed to be two words --- even calls attention to itself . . . not contractible. A signal feature.
And never changed.
Not in 80 years.
That says something to me . . . something very very German . . . something I hear, look for . . . bugged by.
The pennant? Compared to all the others, this image could just be a variation, some creative license . . . . a mis-print, minor mistake . . .
But --- to me? . . . . that name/orientation is not the kind of 'change' that someone familiar with the badge would make.
An Austrian? Maybe.
Or a Swiss . . .
But.
A German? . . .
One word.
