    Sonderwunsch ausserh

Special Wish program car ?! .....or " no rules apply car" ?

vin 118.2.0805 has been covered in one thread , but until recently, I did not know it was "SONDERWUNSCH ausserh" car.

Where does it fall in ?

How to figure who 1st owner ? Kardex tells only points of delivery.

How long car could have stayed in original order/delivery form after arrival to destination and delivery acceptance .

"Motor frisiert keine GA.lt.KDR Aufstellung, vom........" ?

"Motor frisiert" means "engine w/ increased-power", but I am not sure about "GA.lt.KDR". Could be "keine Garantie laut Kundenrechnung" means "no guarantee as per customer invoice". "Aufstellung vom" means "list dated from ..."

    idgaf27 ,

1968L 0429 (H. Wetanson) , a 901/30 motor car with a 901/72 gearbox (I don't have this one in any lists including many special gearboxes). Has this same text on it's Kardex.

    Only it has "M-Liste 064" ...not 164.

Thank you all for responce, but questions remains.....

I know the meaning and translation of words, what I am speculating
and implying to is , for restoration purpose how do I approach it ?

It has been established : this car in particular is factory built 911 T per
special order with Rally specification and 911 R parts.

what I want to discuse about is :

    1. any way to find out about first three years of cars life ? I have no clue about , appart
the fact that car was delivered to Culvert City, CA and it is 4 numbers
appart from " Jezebel" vin.......809 ( also delivered to Culvert City)

    2. Right guy/shop to do restoration?
what I feel about it ? Even thoug it is "rare" and "special" car at the end
of the day it is just a car ment to be driven. Driven hard to compete.
Special wish car - to me - someone wanted factory to
make great starting point. But what after delivery was taken ?
    I haven't heard anyone
taking cars to the track w/o dismantle and improving or adjusting things
for particular needs. Here it comes my - " no rules apply" expression.
I get all this vibe of being restored "properly", but - what is "properly" ?

I'll continue my giberish later, once I get chance to edit what I wrote and my phones corrected into.
Hope you able to understand my thoughts. I'll keep trying to improve my english language skills.
Untill then - bare with me.

Raj, you got it and forgive me upfront for unstoppable and most likely sometimes badly timed and inconveniently made calls to you...........in neer future regards this project.

I will generalize now ( too many names to mention ), but RED Rally guys - you made this car special to me more than you know it.

    Gytis,

I've met you in person and the one thing that comes through loud and clear is your passion for Porsches. The single most exciting post on this BBS in my opinion was the day you discovered all the hidden bits that make your car so special. One thing I've learned the last six years restoring '065 is research, research, research, before any metal is touched. We're here to help in any way we can.

    Best,

John once again you bring up great point and man I am glad to know you .
This thread is my quest to involve as many brains I can to makes right decision "before metal is touched ".

My drive, passion and my wifes understanding compensate for a lot of things , but W/O KNOWLEDGE and CONTACTS you guys have and willing to share and input and keep me in check- this 911 will be , just another fast moving 911. Wich isn't bad either.

But how can I settle for minimum with bunch like you...........
