    Finally snagged one...#1660

Many of you probably saw this car on ebay a while back...the seller ended his auction early because someone was bidding to find his reserve and then cancelling their bids. It irked the seller so he pulled the plug.

We've been in communication ever since, and title was finally transferred today. He wasn't really all that hot to sell the car, but knew he had to because of too many other projects going on. Great guy, we hit it off really well and will be keeping in touch. We know a lot of the same people, so that should be easy.

#1660 is a nice, straight, no rust 1972 911T no-sunroof coupe, with an original color (Tangerine) respray. Prep work for the paint was not the best, but the car is at least presentable, currently. Dave at TRE did the PPI and came back with a number of issues that will need to be addressed, a few of which he is handling now, but the purchase price was adjusted to accomodate. The car has it's original motor and transmission, with a Porsche COA to prove it.

This is going to be my 4th current Porsche, joining the current stable with a 1987 Carrera coupe, a 2004 GT3, and my wife's 2009 Cayenne GTS. I also have a 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV that I've just completed.

Although the Alfa is a nice, relatively sought after car, I think this 911 is going to be in a different league, so bringing her to former glory is going to require a lot of research, time, and money. But it's ok, I'm up to the task - and looking forward to it (well, not the money part). I've been reading here a long time but only just registered, and just paid my dues to become a member. From what I've seen, this place is going to be an invaluable resource as I embark on my early 911 journey!

    Hi Scott,
Great choice, a 2.4 MFI T coupe will be a lot of fun once it is dialed in mechanically. Love the color too.

And also thanks for your support of the Registry.
