    FS: STD/STD, small spigot 7R case ('73 CIS 'T')

    STD/STD, fully inspected small spigot 7R case from a 1973.5 CIS 911T.

    Type: 911/51
    Serial Number: *6131566*

Cleaned and well preserved using Gibbs oil.

This case is VERY strong and is a full 20 lbs lighter than the early aluminum sandcast case. It has all of the reinforcements that were integrated into this last rendition of the magnesium case, before Porsche moved on to building aluminum cases only with the advent of the SC.

This case was produced for exactly one half of one year and is the best combination of strength and light weight of any case Porsche ever built that will accomodate the early 90mm spigot bore cylinders. It will accept any 6 bolt Porsche 911 crank: 66mm or 70.4mm. Maximum piston diameter is 85mm (bored Birals) or 87.5mm (with Nickies).

Thus on a 66mm crank, you get a maximum displacement of 2,381cc (2.4SS)
    On a 70.4mm crank, you get a maximum displacement of 2,540cc (911ST long-stroke 2.5)

It is an ideal case for:
    • HSR racers
    • Small bore, hot rod motor builders
    • Anyone looking to restore a '73.5T that is missing its original case

Mods are minimal - this case does have the oil bypass mod. Includes steel head studs.

    Asking $1250 + shipping
